Patient Experience

Patient experience is an evaluation of the quality of the interactions the patient had before, during, and after their encounter with a healthcare provider entity. Patient experience surveys give patients an opportunity to voice their experiences and provide helpful information for patients to compare different practices.

Patients who have positive experiences with their PCP are more likely to be engaged in care, leading to better health outcomes. The overall healthcare experience and patient satisfaction scores play key roles in clinical quality measures and are assessed when determining value-based care reimbursement.
